United Way Regina is seeking individuals passionate about early literacy to help shape a stronger future for our community through service on our Board of Directors and Board Committees.
As we advance The Next Chapter, our bold commitment to ensuring more children are reading at grade level by the end of Grade 3, we are looking for leaders who believe in the power of early literacy to transform lives and strengthen communities. Whether you are interested in governance, strategic planning, community impact, finance, fundraising, or volunteer engagement, there are meaningful opportunities to contribute your skills, experience, and perspective.

Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors provides strategic oversight and governance for United Way Regina. Directors play a critical role in setting organizational direction, ensuring accountability, and helping advance our mission to create lasting change in our community.
Board Members are expected to:
- Actively prepare for and regularly attend Board Meetings.
- Adhere to UWR conflict of interest and code of ethics and conduct policies.
- Participate in strategic planning and governance activities.
- Act as ambassadors for United Way Regina.
- Support fundraising and community engagement efforts.
- Contribute their expertise and leadership to organizational priorities.
- Champion United Way Regina’s vision for community impact, including our commitment to early literacy through The Next Chapter.
Committee Members
Not ready for a full Board commitment but have 3 to 4 hours per quarter to make a difference? We are also seeking volunteers to serve on Board Committees.
Committee members provide valuable expertise and recommendations to support the work of the Board and staff. Committee positions offer an excellent opportunity to contribute to United Way Regina while gaining governance and leadership experience.
Committee opportunities include:
- Finance & Audit Committee
- Governance Committee
Committee members are not required to serve on the Board of Directors and may be selected based on professional expertise, lived experience, or community knowledge relevant to the committee’s work.

- Demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and a willingness to contribute to community solutions.

- Are committed to equity, inclusion, and community impact.

Expression of Interest
Whether serving as a Director or Committee Member, successful candidates will act as champions for United Way Regina’s mission and vision. We are particularly interested in individuals who are energized by our focus on early literacy and who want to help create a community where every child has the opportunity to develop strong reading skills and reach their full potential.
